In European trading, the US Dollar rose against the Canadian Dollar, trading above 1.3800 levels.
The USD/CAD currency pair advanced in the European Session as the US dollar clawed back yesterday’s losses following bad labor market data and higher odds of an interest rate cut by the FED. In Canada, Trade Balance data for July (-5.20 bln exp) will be posted (13:30 GMT+1). In the US, ADP Nonfarm Employment Change for August (73k exp) and Initial Jobless Claims (230k exp) will be released at 13:15 and 13:30 GMT +1 respectively. US Services PMI for August (55.4 exp) will be posted (14:45 GMT+1).
