During Asian trading, the British pound inched lower against the US Dollar trading below 1.3100 levels.
The GBP/USD currency consolidated on Friday morning after rising sharply yesterday to hit a five month peak amid some relief that UK exports to the US would be subjected to the lowest 10% tariff band. In the UK Construction PMI data for March (09:30 GMT+1) will be released (09:30 GMT+1). In the US, Nonfarm Payrolls and Unemployment data (137k and 4.1% respectively exp) will be posted (13:30 GMT+1), and Fed Chair Powell will speak (16:25 GMT+1).
