The USD/TRY edged higher during the Asian session to trade at 8.5673. The pair dropped slightly on Thursday. Turkey’s economic calendar was empty since it was a national holiday. Initial Jobless Claims for the past week in the United States came in exactly as forecast at 360,000 new claims. The Philadelphia Fed Manufacturing Index for July was reported to be 21.9, much lower than the 28.0 that analysts had predicted.
