In European trading, the euro rose against the US Dollar, trading above the 1.1600 mark.
The EUR/USD advanced in the European Session, as the FED dropped their key policy rate as expected by 25 basis points and as the ECB is expected to keep their interest rates unchanged on December 18th. In the Eurozone there are no major data releases today. In the US, Initial Jobless Claims data (220k expected) will be published (13:30 GMT).
