During European trading, the British Pound advanced against the US Dollar, trading above 1.3400 levels.
The GBP/USD strengthened in the European session, ahead of the US CPI inflation data coming out this week which is expected to reinforce the interest rate cut cycle by the Fed, creating additional downward pressures by the FED. In the UK, the Rightmove House Price Index for October came in at 0.1% Vs -0.1% last month. In the US, Leading Index for September (-0.5% last month) will be released (15:00 GMT+1).*
