The British Pound inched higher in sideways trading on Tuesday. It is presently 1.40801. UK employment data improved in January. The Claimant Count Change fell by 20,000. The consensus forecast was an increase of 35,000. The Unemployment Rate for December landed at 5.1%, as analysts had expected. The United States will release housing data and consumer confidence figures this afternoon. Fed Chairman Jerome Powell is scheduled to testify before Congress today and tomorrow.
