EVENT: Friday, August 27, 03:00 PM GMT+1 – Friday: Speech by Fed Chair Jerome Powell at the Jackson Hole symposium, to be held on-line. Market participants will want to hear more on Fed’s plans about its $120 billion per month bond-buying program. Speculations that the Fed could (not) still begin rolling back its pandemic-era stimulus in 2021 extended some additional support to the greenback; - Nearly sixty percent of Australia’s population is in some kind of lockdown, while the numbers of Covid-19 infection is in the uptrend and came today close to 1000 cases.
