General motors have also pledged to make 30 new global electric vehicles by 2025. So far, GM's only EV available for sale in the US is the Chevy Bolt and the Chevy Bolt EUV. The Hummer EV and Hummer EV SUV will come later this year, followed by the Cadillac Lyriq and the Celestiq.
  • EVENT: INVESTOR’S DAY (Wednesday, October 6: 18:00 to 22:30 GMT+1). According to some analysts, the company should provide details on the EV (electric vehicle) roadmap, financial goals and how will address the chip shortages. Analyst came forward optimistic that General Motors will be able to increase its share in the EV market and potentially convert 20% of its installed base to EVs by 2026.
  • NEW ELECTRIC VEHICLE RELEASED: BrightDrop, which is General Motors’ new dedicated electric delivery van spinoff, has revealed its second vehicle: a smaller van. The new van has a little more than 400 cubic feet of cargo space, and is so named “EV410.” BrightDrop says Verizon has lined up to be the first customer for the EV410, and will use the van in its field maintenance and service fleet.
  • GENERAL MOTORS STOCK PRICE ACTION: The stock reached an all-time high of $64.23 in June 2021. The stock traded last around $53, upside of around 20% to its all-time high reached recently.
