NIO Inc. weekly uptrend opportunity based On 1.00 Lot Calculation:
- Nio offers electric vehicles and parts, as well as provides battery charging services. It currently sells the ES8 and ES6 electric SUVs, and a new EC6 electric crossover. In early January 2021 they revealed their new sedan ET7 that will be selling in 2022. The company is headquartered in Shanghai, China.
- CAR DELIVERY FOR JUNE 2021 (WILL NIO DELIVER RECORD NUMBER OF CARS IN JUNE?): The company delivered 6711 in May. But, they said they will be able to accelerate delivery in June to make up for delays from May. NIO left its forecast for second-quarter deliveries unchanged at 21,000 to 22,000 vehicles. That implies up to 8,200 vehicles will be delivered in June, which would be a monthly record. Rising deliveries in June would also signal the global semiconductor shortage is easing. That could be good news for NIO.
- NEW MODEL “GEMINI” TO BE LAUNCHED NEXT YEAR: Reports say that "Gemini" is the code name for a new high-end electric vehicle lineup to be launched next year. A NIO spokesperson confirmed that the “Gemini” project will involve building NIO-branded luxury cars that will compete with the likes of Tesla, Audi and BMW.
- EVENT: NIO TO ENTER NORWAY AND OTHER EUROPEAN COUNTRIES: Nio officially announced its market entry into Norway at the NIO Norway Press Conference, marking its first step overseas. The ES8, Nio’s smart electric flagship SUV, will be the first vehicle model introduced to Norway, with the ET7, the company’s smart electric flagship sedan, set to follow in 2022. Nio Norway’s first service and delivery center in Oslo will also open in September. By the end of 2022, Nio estimates to have battery swap stations in Norway. Nio plans to enter Germany in 2022 as well.
- PRICE ACTION (NIO STOCK MAY TEND TO RECOVER): NIO stock currently trades around 35% below its recent all- time high of $66.85, tested in January 2021.
- ANALYST OPINION: Morgan Stanley reiterated a Buy and a price target of $64 on the stock. Credit Suisse forecasts $75, while Deutsche Bank sits at $60 a share. JP Morgan targets $70 a share. Citigroup upgraded the stock to buy from neutral, targeting $58.30 a share.
