- EVENT: TESLA ACCELERATED INDIA PLANS: TESLA TO START DELIVERING MODEL 3 and PRODUCING CARS IN INDIA. The Union transport ministry of India approved four of its models for introduction in the country. A new report has surfaced suggesting that Tesla is in talks with at least three auto component suppliers. Reports say that they will be also selling the Model S and X. India is the second largest country in the world by population after China, which could bode well for Tesla’s aspiration to continue to expand globally. Bloomberg reported that Tesla is closing in on an agreement to make electric vehicles in Indian city, Bangalore, for its first plant. Tesla is considering to headquarter in New Delhi or Mumbai.
- NEWS (PROGRESS REPORTED WITH FULL SELF-DRIVING (FSD) SYSTEM): Tesla’s Full Self-Driving (FSD) Beta software has leaked, and it Is being passed around in the Tesla hacking community. Musk said that the company would begin rolling out FSD version 10 to customers in its early access program at midnight on September 10th. The updated version can be used only by customers who paid $10,000.
- ANALYST OPINION: Goldman Sachs forecasts $875 a share. Wedbush analyst Deni Ives raised Tesla Prices Target to $1,000. Deutsche Bank raised Tesla Price Target to $900. Morgan Stanley forecasts $900. Credit Suisse targets $800 per share. DZ BANK (DZ Bank AG is the second largest bank in Germany by asset size) upgraded Tesla to buy from sell. It raised the price target to $750 from $320. Jefferies (Wall Street Investment Bank) raised Tesla Price Target to $850 from $700 (from hold to buy).
- PRICE ACTION: Tesla hit a fresh all-time high of $899.81 in January 2021. At the moment the stock trades around 15.5% below its all-time high. The price change to its recent all time high requires a move-up of around 18%.
