- EVENT: QUARTER THREE (Q3) OVERALL DELIVERY CAR DATA (EXPECTATIONS: 221,000) (EXPECTED RELEASE: EARLY OCTOBER): Tesla delivered 201,250 vehicles in the second quarter of 2021, the company reported. Tesla delivered around 184,000 in the first quarter. Tesla CEO Elon Musk asked staff to “go super hardcore” to make up for production challenges early in the third quarter and finish the three months with a “decent” delivery number. Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk says the final week (Current week) of September will be the electric-vehicle major's "most intense delivery week ever".
- EVENT: TESLA SHAREHOLDERS’ ANNUAL MEETING (OCTOBER 7, 2021). Tesla has officially announced that the Annual Shareholder Meeting will move from its Fremont, California, vehicle production facility to Austin, Texas. Investors will be very interested in what the plant looks like and what Tesla management says about when Cybertrucks and Model Ys, the other car being produced in Texas, will be rolling off the assembly line.
- EVENT: TESLA GIGAFACTORY PROGRESSES IN BERLIN, GERMANY. FIRST CARS TO BE PRODUCED IN OCTOBER 2021? Elon Musk said that Tesla is aiming to start Model Y production at Gigafactory Berlin in October, which is when the company hopes to get the final government approval.
- EVENT: TESLA ACCELERATED INDIA PLANS: TESLA TO START DELIVERING MODEL 3 and PRODUCING CARS IN INDIA. The Union transport ministry of India approved four of its models for introduction in the country. Reports say that they will be also selling the Model S and X. India is the second largest country in the world by population after China, which could bode well for Tesla’s aspiration to continue to expand globally.
- ANALYST OPINION: Goldman Sachs forecasts $875 a share. Wedbush analyst Deni Ives raised Tesla Prices Target to $1,000. Deutsche Bank raised Tesla Price Target to $900. Morgan Stanley forecasts $900. Jefferies (Wall Street Investment Bank) raised Tesla Price Target to $850 from $700 (from hold to buy).
