The British Pound USD currency pair was broadly unchanged at 1.4115 during the Asian session. The Pound traded lower yesterday as the dollar firmed against a basket of other currencies. The UK’s CPI inflation figures were slightly better than expected providing the pound an early boost that faded quickly. Later in the session Federal Reserve meeting minutes showed participants agreed the U.S. economy remained far from the central bank’s goals, with some eyeing a future discussion of tapering its bond buying program.
