The USD/JPY pair was edged lower, trading around 109.15 during the Asian session. The pair traded higher yesterday in a volatile trading day.. No important Japanese data was released yesterday but the currency was receiving some safe haven bids as investors sought a refuge from multiple instruments in the red. Later in the session Federal Reserve meeting minutes showed participants agreed the U.S. economy remained far from the central bank’s goals, with some eyeing a future discussion of tapering its bond buying program.
