TESLA: THE COMPANY

Tesla produces several Electric Vehicles (EVs), including the Model 3, Model X, Model Y, Model S, and, since recently, the Cybertruck. Tesla also delivers the Semi-Truck.
STOCK INDEX PARTICIPATION: Tesla stock is part of both the NASDAQ 100 (USA100) index and the S&P 500 (USA500) index.
MARKET SHARE: Tesla is still the largest seller of pure battery-powered Electric Vehicles (EVs) in the world and an absolute leader in the US (taking up around 50% market share).

TESLA: ELECTRIC VEHICLE (EV) BUSINESS

EVENT: NEW AFFORDABLE MODEL OF ELECTRIC VEHICLE (EV) PRESENTATION EXPECTED. Tesla confirmed in its Q2 earnings report that it has officially begun production of a more affordable electric vehicle. Although details remain to be soon revealed, the company expects to reach mass production in the second half of 2025. Therefore, Tesla could be expected very soon to host an event, introducing the new model to the public.
EVENT (BY SEPTEMBER 30, 2025): SALES EXPECTED TO INCREASE AS EV SUBSIDIES (UP TO $7,500) IN THE U.S.A. ARE SET TO END ON SEPTEMBER 30. Tesla is expected to rump up production and deliveries of its EVs by the end of Q3 or September 30, as EV credits of up to $7500 in the USA will expire on September 30. Having this in mind, consumers are expected to take their last chance of the US EV credits and purchase an EV, while still relatively cheaper with the existing EV credits of up to $7,500. This could increase Tesla sales and profitability in Q3 of 2025.

TESLA: ROBOTAXI BUSINESS EXPANDS BEYOUND AUSTIN, TEXAS (USA)

EARLY AUGUST 2025: ROBOTAXI SERVICES EXPAND IN SAN FRNACISCO. According to the latest reports, it will cover much of the Bay Area, from Marin to San José, including San Francisco and parts of the East Bay.
LATE JUNE 2025: TESLA ROBOTAXI SERVICES IN AUSTIN (TEXAS) LAUNCHED. Tesla launched its robotaxi service in Austin, Texas on June 22, using a limited number of Model Y vehicles.
THE PLAN: TESLA PROJECTS MORE THAN 1,000 CARS IN MONTHS. Tesla's autonomous Robotaxi project will start off with 10 cars in the first week of June, with a gradual scaling to 20, 30, 40, aiming to reach 1,000 within months.

ROBOTAXI SERVICES TO EXPAND: According to CEO Elon Musk, Tesla began discussions with Nevada officials to establish autonomous vehicle operations in the state as part of its plan to expand its robotaxi service. Tesla is seeking permissions to launch autonomous ride-hailing in Nevada, Arizona, Florida, and a number of other places, targeting a rapid scale-up at a hyper-exponential rate.

GLOBAL ROBOTAXI MARKET: EXPECTED GROWTH OF 80.8% PER YEAR ON AVEARGE UNTIL 2031. The robotaxi market is projected to grow from a $1.71 billion market in 2022 to $118.61 billion by 2031, with an impressive 80.8% CAGR, according to Fortune Business Insights.

TECHNICAL ANALYSIS:

UPTREND SINCE EARLY MARCH 2025: As depicted by the daily chart below, the Tesla stock price has kept trading above the mid-term black uptrend line, confirming its mid-term trend is up. The trend has been in place since early March 2025.
DAILY MOVING AVERAGES POINT TO AN UPTREND: Tesla price is currently trading above its 50 and 100 – Day Moving Averages (MA) pointing to a continued uptrend. The trend could change if the prices go below these averages.
TESLA STOCK PRICE HIT AN ALL-TIME HIGH IN LATE 2024: $487.99. The current stock price is around $339, and if the price moves to its recent all-time high levels, this would be a price change of around 44%. However, the price could decline as well.
