Top Earnings Reports in the Coming Week

✦ While the last year seems to have been a positive overall for Microsoft: new hardware, alongside the growth of its software, including Windows 10. 2017 however, starts with a majur layoffs, Microsoft still has plans to slash almost 3,000 jobs, with 700 layoffs said to be announced next week alongside the company’s quarterly earnings report on January 26th.

✦ Google parent company Alphabet (Nasdaq:GOOG) launched in October two new significant products: a Google Pixel smartphone and a Google Home artificial intelligence-enabled smart speaker. The Pixel sold out online.

✦ McDonald’s introducing a new Grand Mac and the Mac Jr – for those who eat with one hand. The move is part of a plan to boost its struggling business.
