NEWS (TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17): MICRON TECHNOLOGY ANNOUNCES P310 2280 GEN4 SSD. Micron's new Crucial P310 2280 Gen4 SSD is twice as fast as Gen3 SSDs and offers up to 2TB storage. It boosts performance for gamers, creatives, and students with speeds of 7,100 MB/s (read) and 6,000 MB/s (write). It’s power-efficient, easy to install, and compatible with older devices. A version for PlayStation 5 and gaming PCs is coming soon.
EVENT (WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 25 - AFTERMARKET): Q4 EARNINGS REPORT. Micron reported $7.75 billion in revenue, beating the estimates of $7.64B for their fiscal Q4 of 2024. This is an increase of 93.3% from the same period last year. In addition, the company also beat expectations on EPS ($1.18 vs $1.13 expected). This strong earnings reflects continued high demand for HBM, pushing gross margin to 35.3% (previous 26.9%).

MICRON: PRICE ACTION

THE STOCK HAS TRADED AROUND 29% BELOW ITS ALL-TIME HIGH OF $153.45 (June 18, 2024). Micron was last trading around $109, and if a full recovery follows recent all-time highs, the stock could see an upside of around 41%. However, the price could decline further.
ANALYSTS OPINIONS: Rosenblatt Securities forecast $250. JPMorgan forecasts $180. Wells Fargo forecasts $175.
