STREAMING MARKET: Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO Max and Disney+ are the biggest market leaders.
MARKET SHARE BY COMPANY BY SUBSCRIBERS: According to data spread across the biggest players, Netflix holds the lead (34.98%), followed by Amazon Prime (31.60%) and Disney+ (21.76%). Those four streamers have in total 632.9 million subscribers, with Netflix possessing 221.4 million subscribers.

● THE COMPANY: Netflix is known for its huge database of movies and series. The company accounted for 40% of consumer demand for original content last year, more than the next five streaming services combined, and Netflix produced 13 of the top 15 original streaming programs. Netflix currently has 247 million subscribers. The global audience has grown 11% over the past year, the largest increase for Netflix in more than a year.

EVENT: (January 24, 2024): Q4 EARNINGS. The company forecast that revenue will jump 11% in the fourth quarter, reaching $8.69 billion.
EVENT: (January 11, 2024) SONIC PRIME Season 3. The first season was released on December 15, 2022. During the following week, the stock price went up 1.7%. The second season was released on July 13, 2023 with a 2.15% rise of shares during the following week.
EVENT: (FEBRUARY 22, 2024) “Avatar: The Last Airbender” season 1. Adventure fantasy streaming television series. It is a live-action adaptation of the popular animated television series of the same name (2005–2008).

PRICE ACTION

NETFLIX STOCK TRADES AROUND 32.3% BELOW ITS ALL-TIME HIGH OF $700.99 (November 17, 2021). The stock currently trades around $474.67 and If a full recovery follows, the stock could increase around 47.68%. In 2023 the stock price was up 62.11%. However, the price could decline further.
ANALYST OPINION: Morgan Stanley $550. Wedbush price target is $525. Keybanc $525.
